FAQS

THE ICE MIND

How much ice do i need to add?

Depending on your water temperature and desired chill, we recommend adding 15-40lbs (7-18kg) of ice per session. In colder climates, ice may not even be necessary. Our XXL Ice Block option creates long-lasting 3lb blocks for a slower melt. The Ice Mind insulation helps maintain water temperature, so you may not need to add as much ice after your first use.

How do i keep the water clean?

For optimal water cleanliness, we recommend our Water Maintenance Pack, a 2-month supply of custom disinfectant and cleanser. With this pack, you can go weeks or even months between water changes. If you don't use a sanitizer, change the water weekly or every 3-5 sessions.

For continuous water movement and extra chill, consider the Water Jet. When using the Pod Chiller outdoors in freezing conditions, please refer to the manual for specific recommendations.

How do i drain the Ice Mind?

The IcePod features a bottom tap for easy draining. Connect a standard garden hose or simply open the tap depending on your setup. For indoor draining or longer distances, consider our 9ft IcePod Drain Hose.

Does it include a cover?

Both IcePod models include a waterproof cover for cleanliness. An insulated lid is also available to help maintain water temperature.

How long should each ice bath session be?

For optimal health benefits, submerge in water below 59°F (15°C) for 3-5 minutes. The ideal time and temperature varies for each individual.

What temperature do you recommend?

If you're new to ice baths, start with water around 59°F (15°C) and gradually decrease the temperature and duration over time to acclimate your body. Seasoned users can aim for water below 50°F for optimal benefits, staying in for at least 2 minutes.
